Selection Process :
Selection Process For Professor and Associate Professor :
The selection process will be strictly on the basis of teaching experience, research publications, and the age of the candidate.
- Weightage for Teaching Experience: 5 marks per year of experience as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor from MCI/NMC/permitted or recognized institutions.
- Weightage for Research Publications (wherever applicable): 5 marks per publication; (publication as per norm of NMC will be considered).
Note – In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, candidates with higher marks in MBBS/M.Sc will be prioritized. If marks are still tied, the older candidate will be given priority in the selection list.
Selection Process For Assistant Professor :
The selection will be based on career marks. The weightage of different examinations is as follows:
- HSC/Matriculation – 20% of the total percentage of marks secured.
- Intermediate science – 20% of the total percentage of marks secured.
- MBBS examination – 60% of the total percentage of marks secured. Candidates who have passed PG in 2016-17 and afterward, MBBS/ M.Sc. Examination – 30%, PG – 30%
Note – In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, candidates with more marks in MBBS/M.Sc will be prioritized. If marks are still tied, older candidates in age will be given priority in the selection list.

- Pay – Rs. 2,30,000 per month plus incentives as be notified by the Govt.
- Age Limit – less than 69 years (as of 18/12/2024).
Qualifications :
The candidates should have
- MD/MS/DNB or equivalent degree in the concerned specialty/discipline.
- Any other qualification as may be prescribed by NMC.
- Valid up-to-date medical registration is required. You must also have registration of additional qualifications under any State Council of Medical Registration after obtaining the degree.
- completed a ‘Basic Course in Medical Education’ from an institution designated by NMC.

Teaching Experience :
The candidates should have at least 03 years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor in the concerned discipline. They need to have this experience in any MCI/NMC permitted/recognized institute. Additionally, they must have research publications following MCI/MC guidelines/OMES rule 2022 in force.

- Pay – Rs. 2,00,000 per month plus incentives as be notified by the Govt.

Qualifications :
The candidates should have
- MD/MS/DNB or equivalent degree in the concerned specialty from any MCI/NMC approved/recognized/permitted Medical Colleges.
- Any other qualification as may be prescribed by NMC.
- Valid up-to-date medical registration is required. Additionally, registration of additional qualifications under any State Council of Medical Registration is needed after obtaining the degree.

- Pay – Rs. 1,20,000 per month plus incentives as be notified by the Govt.
- Age Limit – less than 69 years (as of 18/12/2024).
Qualifications :
The candidates should have
- MD/MS/DNB or an equivalent degree in the concerned specialty is required. This should be from any MCI/NMC approved, recognized, or permitted Medical Colleges. Alternatively, any other academic qualification with additional teaching experience in the subject as prescribed by the NMC is acceptable. This must follow the “Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022” of NMC. These regulations are amended from time to time.
